There are 3 main parts of the limbic system, the hippocampus, the prefrontal cortex amd the amygdala. The hippocampus it stores your memory and things you have learned. Like if your at school and learning how to add fractions or something your hippocampus will store that information. The prefrontal cortex helps you make discisions and think about things and remember stuff in your thoughts. The prefrontal cortex is also considered the captin of the limbic system. The amygdala allows you to think clearly but if you are upset of angry your amygdala can effect how you react of feel or to things around you, like if you were angry about how you did not do well on a test you might be upset and take it out on something, or for the rest of the day you would not be able to think straight about things until your amygdala calms down.
